Forza Italia, Pier Silvio Berlusconi: ‘Grateful to Tajani, but in the future we need new faces and ideas’

Milan, 11 December (LaPresse) – ‘It’s natural that Marina and I are passionate about the future of Forza Italia. Among my father’s legacies, one of the greatest, if not the greatest, is Forza Italia itself.’ So said Mediaset CEO Pier Silvio Berlusconi at the traditional Christmas meeting with the press at the Cologno Monzese studios. ‘We are two people who work, who are passionate and committed to our roles and our jobs. Entrepreneurs cannot be distant from politics,’ he added. ‘I am truly grateful to Antonio Tajani and the whole team around him,’ he reiterated. “They kept the party going after Silvio Berlusconi’s passing, which was no easy task. I believe that, looking to the future, new faces, new ideas and a renewed programme are inevitably necessary.‘ ’Please note: this does not call into question the founding values of Forza Italia, which are the values of my father’s political thinking and action. But these are values that need to be adapted to today’s reality, i.e. to 2025,” he added. On the subject of new faces, “what applies to Forza Italia applies to politics in general and to many sectors of the country and the economy,” he concluded.
