Open Arms, Supreme Court Prosecutors request confirmation of Salvini’s acquittal

Rome, 17 December (LaPresse) – The three Public Prosecutors of the Court of Cassation have requested the rejection of the appeal by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Palermo and therefore the confirmation of the acquittal of Matteo Salvini, defendant in the Open Arms trial. Salvini had been acquitted by the second criminal section of the Court of Palermo. The leader of the Lega party is accused of kidnapping and refusal to perform official duties.
