Security, Lega: “More soldiers on the streets and security guards in stations”

Rome, Jan. 10 (LaPresse) – “The Lega is working to strengthen the presence of uniformed men and women in cities, starting with the 6,800 soldiers currently deployed in cities and stations: the proposal to enhance the ‘Safe Streets’ operation has already been scheduled,” reads a statement from the Lega.

“In general, the government has already hired 39,000 police officers over three years: according to the Lega, the state must continue to invest in this sector. This is also the aim of the 2026–2029 industrial plan of FS Security, strongly supported by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Matteo Salvini, which seeks to surpass 1,600 employees in order to monitor stations and trains even more effectively.”
