Rome, Jan. 12 (LaPresse) – According to sources, the recently concluded Council of Ministers (CdM) meeting confirmed that the referendum on justice reform will be held on March 22–23, and that by-elections will take place on the same dates. The Council of Ministers also decided today to place the regions of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Umbria, and Sardinia under commissioner oversight, as they “have not yet approved their respective school dimensioning plans for the next academic year.” Dimensioning, the Ministry of Education and Merit notes, “is part of the reforms outlined in the PNRR, defined by the previous government, aimed at adapting the school network to the student population on a regional basis. Failure to comply with this requirement puts at risk the funds already allocated to Italy.” The Ministry clarifies that the measure “concerns exclusively administrative reorganization and does not involve the closure of school buildings.”
