Venezuela, Stefani: “Thanks to the government for delicate work”

Venice, Jan 12 (LaPresse) – “I received this news with great emotion. Finally Alberto is free after months and months of anguish. For this reason I express deep satisfaction and sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, to Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, and to all Italian authorities who, in various capacities, worked with commitment and determination to achieve the goal of Alberto’s release, after over 400 days of detention in a maximum-security Venezuelan prison”. Said the President of the Veneto Region, Alberto Stefani, commenting in a note on the news of the release of the Venezuelan cooperative worker Alberto Trentini. “I wish to thank the Government and the Italian diplomatic network for the constant and silent action that made it possible to reach this result – he adds – It is a great relief for all of us. I want to direct a thought to Alberto’s parents, Armanda and Ezio, who have lived months of great anxiety. To them goes the embrace of the entire Venetian community, which has never stopped hoping. Now the nightmare is over, and we await Alberto in his city”.
