Crans-Montana, appeal by A. Fontana to local operators: ‘Stop using fireworks fountains’

Milan, 18 January (LaPresse) – “I would like to sincerely thank the police commissioner of Cremona and all the women and men of the police force for the checks they are carrying out in clubs. It is work that often goes unnoticed, but it can save lives. What happened in Crema could have had much more serious consequences. Fortunately, that did not happen. But we cannot rely on luck. That is why I feel compelled to address the managers of these venues directly: I ask you to stop using pyrotechnic fountains or similar effects indoors. This is not just a formal request, it is a human appeal. A moment of spectacle is not worth the risk of tragedy. We all remember what happened in Crans. We all know how much pain can be caused in a matter of seconds. Let’s make sure it never happens again. The safety of people, young people and families who go to a venue to have fun must come first.
