Rome, AVS: “Face of Meloni in fresco? Giuli should check”

Rome, Jan. 31 – “We have learned from the press that the restoration of the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Lucina would have produced an image of a face resembling Giorgia Meloni. We are stunned and incredulous, and we ask that the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, verify this and, if necessary, immediately act with the superintendencies to have it removed.” This was stated by AVS group leader in the Chamber of Deputies Constitutional Affairs Committee, Filiberto Zaratti, who announced an inquiry and added: “If everything were confirmed, we would be facing a huge and unacceptable example of a personality cult, like nothing seen since the times of fascism.”
