National future, brand owner heirs: “Opposed to use by Vannacci”

L’Aquila, February 6 (LaPresse) – “I am reviewing the situation with my lawyer, but in any case, my family did not appreciate being associated with a party so far removed from Riccardo’s political ideas, and I am surprised that Vannacci wants to continue using a brand created by someone so ideologically distant from him.” This statement was made to LaPresse by Marina Caprioni, widow of Riccardo Mercante, former regional councilor of the Five Star Movement who died at the age of 50 in a car accident on September 16, 2020, referring to the ‘Futuro nazionale’ trademark registered by her husband in 2011, the same one filed by MEP Roberto Vannacci, who left the League to found a new party with the same name. According to a search provided by the Teramo Chamber of Commerce, the ‘Futuro nazionale’ trademark was filed by Mercante in 2010 and registered in February 2011. Ten years later, and after his death, it has not been renewed and could therefore be free for use.
