Government: Council of Ministers meeting at 5.30 p.m., Migrants Bill also on the agenda

Rome, 11 February. (LaPresse) – The Council of Ministers is convened today, Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at 5.30 p.m. at Palazzo Chigi to examine the following agenda: draft bill, with provisions for the implementation of the European Union Pact on Migration and Asylum of 14 May 2024 and further provisions on immigration; draft legislative decree: implementation of Council Directive (EU) 2024/1499 of 7 May 2024 on rules concerning equality bodies in relation to equal treatment between persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin, between persons in matters of employment and occupation irrespective of religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation, and between women and men in the field of social security and in the access to and supply of goods and services, and amending Directives 2000/43/EC and 2004/113/EC; preliminary examination (European affairs, NRRP and cohesion policies – family, birth rate and equal opportunities – labour and social policies); regional laws; any other business.
