Board of Peace, Schlein: ‘Meloni can’t say no to Trump, and Italy pays the price for its subordination’

It is the privatisation of international relations.” So said PD secretary Elly Schlein, speaking in the Chamber of Deputies during the vote on Minister Antonio Tajani’s communications. ‘There is only one truth here: have the courage to say it,’ she added. ‘Giorgia Meloni cannot say no to Donald Trump. She wanted to be a bridge-builder, a mediator, but she turned out to be a spectator. There is no mediation, only subordination, and Italy is paying dearly for your subordination to Trump.’
