Middle East, Palazzo Chigi: ‘Italian government committed to regional stability’

Rome, 28 February (LaPresse) – ‘The government, as in the past, will continue to work with its European, regional and international partners to find a solution that promotes stability in the region. At the same time, it has renewed its support for the Iranian civilian population, which has courageously demanded respect for its civil and political rights in recent weeks, suffering violent and unjustifiable repression.’ This is according to a statement issued by Palazzo Chigi following an emergency summit convened by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to discuss and assess the crisis situation in the Middle East.
