Iran, Meloni: ‘Condolences to France on the death of a soldier; commitment to peace and stability’

Rome, 13 March (LaPresse) – ‘On behalf of the Italian Government and myself, I express my deepest condolences to France on the death of one of the soldiers caught up in a new, unjustifiable attack in Erbil. Our thoughts are with his family and the French authorities at this time of grief. I also send my best wishes for a speedy recovery to the other wounded soldiers, in the hope of a swift and full recovery.’ This was stated by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, who added: ‘Italy, alongside its international partners, including the Gulf countries most affected, remains firmly committed to promoting a de-escalation of tensions. We will continue to work with determination to ensure that peace and stability in the region are restored.’
