Naples, 24 March (LaPresse) – The victory of the “no” vote in the referendum on justice reform is ‘an eviction notice’ for Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This was stated by the leader of the Five Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte, in an interview with *Corriere della Sera*. ‘It is a very strong political signal,’ he explains. “After four years and four budget laws, the government has nothing to show for it. They have carried out a single reform that has been rejected by the public, despite a referendum campaign led personally by Meloni herself, with all media outlets united behind it. With the complicity of the media, she spoke only of alleged miscarriages of justice, which have nothing to do with it.” According to Conte, “the mood within the centre-right will certainly be severely dented by this defeat. The reform on differentiated autonomy has been demolished by the Constitutional Court, and they’ve had to shelve the prime ministerial post because Meloni realised it would be rejected in the referendum.”
