Trento, 23 May (LaPresse) – “I believe a referendum on nuclear power will be inevitable. We will discuss this too, but we are taking responsibility for showing the country what we believe are the paths to follow. Many years ago, we hastily decided to phase out nuclear power. We hope that we will soon finally be able to build new-generation power stations in our country, as is the case in France and in many other countries from which we import nuclear-generated electricity.” This was stated by Luca Ciriani, Minister for Relations with Parliament, speaking at a panel discussion at the Trento Economics Festival organised by Gruppo 24 Ore and Trentino Marketing on behalf of the Province.
