Rome, June 3 (LaPresse) – “In Flavia Amabile’s excellent article yesterday on the June 2 celebration, there is also mention of a physical ‘distance’ between President Mattarella and Prime Minister Meloni. To avoid any misunderstanding, I would like to clarify that the five sections of the front row each hosted the President of the Republic, the President of the Senate, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, the President of the Council of Ministers and the President of the Constitutional Court, each surrounded by representatives of the citizens. There was therefore no ‘distance’, but rather the idea of portraying Italian society gathered and ‘close’ to each of the Republic’s highest institutional offices.” This was stated in a note published in La Stampa by Giovanni Grasso, communications adviser to the President of the Republic.
