Milan, 23 June (LaPresse) – “I believe that Minister Tajani, for the time being, was right to cancel his trip to Washington to send a signal, but once the message has got across there is no need to take it any further, starting with the traditional reception at Villa Taverna which takes place every year to mark 4 July, at which the government will also be present out of respect for Ambassador Fertitta, a figure who works hard to maintain strong relations between Italy and the United States”. This was stated by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, whilst attending the ‘Il giorno de La Verità’ event in Rome, in response to a question about US President Donald Trump.
