Roggero case: Conte says, “The Right is exploiting the situation; it must not reduce Italy to the Wild West”

Rome, 19 July (LaPresse) – “The Right is exploiting the jeweller’s case, where self-defence has nothing to do with it. In reality, they are churning out one security decree after another to cover up their failure on security. The state must take responsibility and therefore this government, in order to meet citizens’ need for security, cannot reduce Italy to the Wild West and tell citizens: ‘Take the law into your own hands’.” So said M5S President Giuseppe Conte, speaking on the sidelines of an event commemorating the Via D’Amelio massacre at Piersanti Mattarella Park in Palermo.
