But we are not afraid of anything.” This was stated by the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, on the sidelines of the presentation of the new bodycams for FS Security staff, in response to those who asked him about the “preventive hatred” referred to by Prime Minister Meloni and Minister Salvini following the events in Bologna. “Law enforcement agencies are the institutions that rank highest in the approval ratings of the majority of Italians; they are serious, decent people who love their country,” asserted the Interior Minister. “All the incidents that have occurred are extensively documented. We live in an age where video and photographic documentation is widespread; we are pleased about this and so we shall continue in this vein,” he concluded.
