Migrants, Piantedosi: “We reject the controversy over Schengen; the measure will be lifted once the danger has passed”

Rome, 7 Aug. (LaPresse) – The Schengen measure “is a temporary one”, “provided for in the treaties” and adopted with “the sole aim of safeguarding national security”. So said Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi at ‘Bar Italia’, part of the Fratelli d’Italia tour, in Sorrento. “We will continue with it only until we are certain that the danger has passed.”
