Milan, 27 August (LaPresse) – “Azione has always done the same thing” and “has said that politics as a battle has failed spectacularly. We need to rebuild the centre. Azione has done this from day one with dignity and honour, making mistakes, but voting for the measures it believed to be right”. This was stated by Carlo Calenda, leader of Azione, whilst appearing as a guest at the ‘Caffè della Versiliana’ in Marina di Pietrasanta (Lucca). “I want a rational, reformist and pro-European centre. I think we must all make a mental commitment to move beyond the Second Republic: what we have seen over the last thirty years must come to an end,” he added.
