I’d like to thank the Cuban doctors who, as confirmed by the Italian doctors, were very skilled and prompt in their diagnosis and choice of initial treatment.” This is what Alessandro Di Battista wrote in a social media post after being hospitalised in a serious condition whilst travelling in Cuba. “I will leave Cuba on 4 September on an air ambulance, the costs of which will be covered by the insurance company with whom I took out a policy before setting off,” he announced. He then added: “P.S. For years now, I have chosen to ‘use’ the media platforms at my disposal to denounce the Palestinian Holocaust, which continues even though many newspapers turn a blind eye. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to tell you what I’m being told in hospitals in Cuba, namely that many of the Palestinian doctors and nurses killed in Palestine over the last three years had studied and trained here.” Finally, Di Battista concludes: “Thank you all for your support, which has been greater than I could ever have imagined.”
