Rome, 11 Sept. (LaPresse) – “Twenty-five years ago, jihadist terrorism carried out the most violent attack on the West in recent history. The West was able to respond and defeat terrorism. Freedom triumphed over hatred, violence and death. However, we must never let our guard down. What the tragedy of 11 September twenty-five years ago taught us – with so many deaths in Washington and New York – must serve as a warning. We must continue to combat terrorism in all its forms. We must prevent and counter any action originating from the places where terrorism is striking. I am thinking of sub-Saharan Africa; I am thinking of Somalia.” So said Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani in a video message.
