Milan, 11 September (LaPresse) – “There has never been an election in September; the last time, in 2022, was an anomaly.” So said Ignazio La Russa, President of the Senate, on the sidelines of the “Il tempo delle donne” conference at the Triennale in Milan. The parliamentary term began with the election on 25 September 2022 and is due to end naturally in autumn 2027. “There are things to be done, so there is a possibility of seeing out the term,” continued La Russa. “Much has been achieved by the government and much remains to be done.” On the possibility of bringing the election forward: “If we do not want to hold the election in September, I do not rule out the possibility of holding it a few months or days earlier, but only for a September-related reason,” he concluded.
