A series of concrete proposals will not be enough; we need values, a collective dream, and the hope of a better country that does not abandon you but reaches out a helping hand. A mere tweak to the neoliberal model that has failed is not enough; we need the courage to rethink the development model. I have asked our allies not to draw up this programme behind closed doors, but amongst the people. We must also reach out to those we do not usually reach, with a project that is radical in its ideas but grounded in pragmatic solutions.” So said PD Secretary Elly Schlein as she brought the Festa dell’Unità in Reggio Emilia to a close.
