Rome, 15 Sept. (LaPresse) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, has arrived at the Campidoglio to attend Emma Bonino’s state funeral. The Head of State was welcomed by the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri. The funeral will take place in a secular ceremony in the Sala della Protomoteca. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was present, along with several government representatives and political leaders who had come to pay their last respects to the historic Radical Party figure (Elly Schlein, Giuseppe Conte, Matteo Renzi, Carlo Calenda, Riccardo Magi and Maurizio Lupi). Also present at the Campidoglio were the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, as well as Massimo D’Alema, Romano Prodi, Enrico Letta and Paolo Gentiloni.
