Rome, 20 Sept. (LaPresse) – “Meloni said, ‘Watch out for those in the world who don’t love Italy’. Let me tell you something: those who don’t love Italy are at Palazzo Chigi.” So said Giuseppe Conte, speaking on Nova at the close of the M5S grassroots consultation. “The greatest responsibility I hold Meloni accountable for is that she had a solid parliamentary majority – not a national one – for four years, and could have addressed the many social demands, yet instead she has become the darling of investment funds and banks. We need a peaceful revolution – but a revolution nonetheless. There can be no compromise,” he stated, after condemning a series of the government’s decisions. As for the abolition of the car tax, it is a measure “straight out of Cettina la Qualunque’s playbook, as you might expect,” the Five Star Movement leader quipped.
