The summit, which took place away from Palazzo Chigi, was attended by the Prime Minister and leader of FdI, Giorgia Meloni; the Deputy Prime Ministers and secretaries of the League and Forza Italia, Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani; and the leader of Noi Moderati, Maurizio Lupi. Among the key topics discussed at the meeting was the coalition’s candidate for Mayor of Milan. Within the centre-right, there are currently three options on the table: one linked to Lupi; one involving the Under-Secretary of State for Defence, Matteo Perego (a name backed by Forza Italia); and finally, one involving Silvia Sardone, deputy secretary of the Lega.
