Rome, Oct. 8 (LaPresse) – “We have never been, nor will we ever be, part of the broad coalition. We believe that the broad coalition, as it is currently formed, poses a serious danger to Italy’s stability.” This was one of the points made by Carlo Calenda, leader of Azione, in an interview with Corriere dell’Umbria-Gruppo Corriere. Calenda spoke about energy and put forward a proposal to support energy-intensive companies such as Ast: allocating hydropower production exclusively to these companies. He also criticized the center-left regional government of Umbria led by Stefania Proietti, describing its mid-term record as “disastrous.” Calenda, however, praised the administration of the Municipality of Perugia headed by Mayor Stefania Proietti. He also clashed with former regional secretary Giacomo Leonelli, now sole administrator of Adisu, the agency responsible for the right to university education in the Umbria region. “He is speaking in a personal capacity,” Calenda said bluntly.
