Rome, 9 Oct. (LaPresse) – “The study day entitled ‘The Constitution Clinic: The role of Parliament on the threshold of the 20th Legislature, in memory of Silvano Tosi on the 100th anniversary of his birth’ represents an important opportunity for discussion on the role of Parliament and offers a chance to reflect on the procedures that govern its activities, the very heart of the democratic dialogue through which the representative mandate entrusted by citizens is carried out. The reference in the event’s title to the ‘clinic of the Constitution’ – an expression dear to Silvano Tosi – serves as a reminder that Parliament is a living space of practices, procedures and responsibilities, where the quality of democracy is measured on a daily basis.” This was stated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the association’s president, Giorgio Giovannetti, on the occasion of the study day organised by the ‘Silvano Tosi’ Association of Alumni of the Seminar on Parliamentary Studies.
