Rome, 14 October (LaPresse) – “Senator Maiorino, every time I come into this chamber, all I hear from your side are insults, offensive remarks and attempts to ridicule the work we are trying to do. I don’t know whether you genuinely believe that this can conceal the fact that, objectively speaking, you don’t know what to propose, what to do, what to say or where you are going. I believe these insults do not conceal the difficulties with your own political position. I believe these insults do not conceal the inadequacy of your solutions. I believe Italians can see what you are doing. And I don’t think those watching us feel reassured by this mudslinging, into which you would like to drag the Parliament of the Italian Republic.” Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni made these remarks in her response to the general debate on the statements she delivered in the Senate ahead of the forthcoming European Council meeting.
