Rome, 17 Oct. (LaPresse) – “I believe that” Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni “wants to avoid me as a rival. The attack is a bit disjointed, partly because she hasn’t read the law that they themselves drafted.” So said the M5S leader, Giuseppe Conte, speaking on ‘Myrta Confidential’ on San Marino RTV and returning to the attack he received in the Chamber from the Prime Minister. “The law states that the nomination of the candidate for Prime Minister does not appear on the ballot paper but only in the programme submitted to the Ministry of the Interior, and that nomination cannot bind the President of the Republic as that would be unconstitutional. Furthermore, under this same law, if no one secures the majority bonus, a deadlock arises and another Prime Minister must therefore be found; so she should read and study the law they have written,” added Conte.
