The next military aid package is already ready, and we will send it to Kyiv as soon as possible.” This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Forza Italia leader Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of a visit to the Montebello Carabinieri barracks, commenting on the proposal by League leader Matteo Salvini to halt the delivery of weapons and money to Ukraine. “That said,” the Foreign Minister added, “we hope that a meeting between Zelensky and Putin can take place as soon as possible, perhaps with American and European participation, so that peace can be achieved. Peace is our goal, but it must be a just peace; Ukraine’s defeat cannot be the price of peace.”
