Rome, Oct. 27 (LaPresse) – Regarding demonstrations, “vigilance remains high.” Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said this while speaking at the national assembly of Sud chiama Nord – Mayors of Italy. “A general strike has been called by a trade union for Friday, the 30th,” he added. “In this regard, I would say that I would not make inappropriate associations, because we have seen a tendency among established trade union organizations to keep their distance from these movements. Therefore, I have no reason to believe that the grassroots trade union organization that called this strike might be tempted to use these groups of young people to do something that has nothing to do with the demands they are putting forward.”
Protests, Piantedosi: “Vigilance remains high, but no risk of violent fringe groups at Friday’s strike”
