Rome, Nov. 4 (LaPresse) – “I warmly welcome the news, conveyed to me by President Guy Parmelin, that Switzerland has decided to waive its request for reimbursement of the medical expenses of the injured Italian victims of the Crans-Montana tragedy who were treated in Swiss hospitals. I am pleased with this solution: no costs will be borne by the families or by Italy,” said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. “My thoughts once again go to the families of the victims and the injured young people, who are facing immense grief with extraordinary dignity and strength. I reiterate the Italian Government’s deepest solidarity with them, and we will continue to stand by their side,” the Prime Minister stressed. “I thank President Parmelin for his sensitivity. This decision confirms the strength of the relationship between our two countries,” Meloni concluded.
