F1: Gp Japan, Piastri fastest in FP2, crash for Doohan

Rome, Apr. 4 (LaPresse) – Oscar Piastri ended the second free practice session of the Japanese GP, third round of the F1 World Championship, in the lead. The McLaren driver with a time of 1'28‘114 preceded his team mate Lando Norris (1'28’163). Surprise third time for the French-Algerian Isack Hadjar on Racing Bulls. Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari was fourth, Leclerc's seventh ahead of Max Verstappen. The second free practice session was characterised by a frightening accident involving Jack Doohan, who crashed into the barriers at about 200 km/h in Turn 1. The Alpine driver appeared stunned but got out of the cockpit on his own legs and a stretcher was not necessary.
