Milan, 26 May (LaPresse) – Golden Boot and “Pichichi”. Despite a disappointing season for Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé has won two individual trophies. Thanks to his brace against Real Sociedad, the French striker overtook Victor Gyökeres of Sporting Lisbon to win the Golden Boot. This is the first time Mbappé has won this trophy. Awarded by European Sports Media since 1997, it recognises the top scorer in European leagues. Mbappé ended his first season in La Liga with 31 goals, also winning the top scorer title. Second place went to Sporting striker Gyokeres (39 goals), who was beaten by the Frenchman from Real Madrid due to the difficulty coefficient assigned to the competitions he took part in compared to the Scandinavian striker from Sporting. Third place went to Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah (29 goals).
