Roland Garros: Sinner wins his opening match Turin, 26 May (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner won his opening match at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the season. The South Tyrolean, ranked number one in the world, defeated France's Arthur Rinderknech, ranked 75th in the ATP rankings, in the first round on the Philippe Chatrier court. The Italian won in three sets with a score of 6-4, 6-3, 7-5. In the second round, Sinner, who had some difficulty in the third set after easily winning the first two, will face wild card Richard Gasquet, playing in his last Roland Garros.
