Rome, June 6 (LaPresse) – Marc Marquez continues to dominate at the Aragon GP, the eighth round of the MotoGP World Championship. The factory Ducati rider posted the fastest time in FP2 (1'46.397), ahead of his brother Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) by 204 thousandths. Spaniards Maverick Vinales and Joan Mir were tied for third, 556 thousandths behind. Pedro Acosta finished fifth (+0.603), Johann Zarco sixth (+0.661), and Brad Binder seventh (+0.699). Fermin Aldeguer took eighth (+0.733), Francesco Bagnaia ninth (+0.788), and Franco Morbidelli rounded out the top ten (+0.816).
Aragon remains one of Marquez’s favorite tracks. He currently leads the championship with 196 points, having won six out of seven Sprint Races (with one second place) and three Grand Prix races (plus one second and one third place).
