Motorcycle accident, former NBA centre Divac undergoes hip surgery

Milan, 20 June (LaPresse) – Former NBA centre Vlade Divac underwent emergency surgery after fracturing his hip in a motorcycle accident in Montenegro. The accident occurred on Thursday on a road near the Montenegrin Adriatic coast. Hospital officials said that 57-year-old Divac suffered a fracture and had an artificial hip implanted. The Serbian centre began and ended his 16-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Divac served two terms as president of the Serbian Olympic Committee.
