Tennis: ATP Eastbourne, Darderi out in the first round against Giron

Milan, June 24 (LaPresse) – In the first round of the Lexus Eastbourne Open (ATP 250), Luciano Darderi, world No. 56, was defeated 6-4, 7-5 by American Marcos Giron (No. 46). After trailing 5-2 in the first set, the Italian player’s performance significantly improved. However, the final result was impacted by a poor 1/6 conversion rate on break points, two of which (in the 10th game of the first set and the 12th game of the second set) could have leveled the respective sets.
