Chris Richards gave the United States the lead after four minutes on Sunday evening in Houston, scoring with a header from Sebastian Berhalter's free kick for the second time in the tournament. But Raúl Jiménez equalised for Mexico in the 27th minute with his third goal in this Gold Cup. Edson Álvarez then scored the decisive goal in the 77th minute after a video review overturned an offside call.
