Milan, 12 July (LaPresse) – Italy's Jonathan Milan won stage 8 of the Tour de France, the 171.4 km Saint-Méen-le-Grand-Laval. The Lidl Trek sprinter, with a practically perfect sprint, crossed the finish line ahead of Belgium's Wout Van Aert and Australia's Kaden Groves of Alpecin-Deceuninck. After six years, an Italian returns to victory on the roads of the Tour de France. Slovenia's Tadej Pogacar, of Team UAE Emirates, retains the yellow jersey as race leader.
