Rome, 27 July (LaPresse) – Thomas Ceccon reaches the final of the 50-metre butterfly at the World Championships in Singapore. The Italian record holder (22.68) and 2023 Fukuoka world champion – registered with Fiamme Oro and Leosport, trained at the Federal Centre in Verona by Alberto Burlina – touched in 22.84 against 23.06 in the morning but slowed down in the last fifteen metres. ‘I felt great, it was already a very interesting time, I breathed again and controlled myself,’ commented Ceccon. ‘It's a time that's worth 2/3 of a second less. I feel very good in the water. The competition is fierce, but we're all close.’ Among the women, Costanza Cocconcelli failed to qualify for the final of the 100 butterfly.
