Football, Fiorentina: Kean extends contract until 2029: “I couldn’t betray this trust”

Florence, August 30 (LaPresse) – Fiorentina has announced the renewal of striker Moise Kean’s contract until June 30, 2029. The club and Kean will therefore continue the journey they began in the 2024/25 season, during which the forward scored 25 goals in 44 appearances across Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Conference League.

“From the moment we sat down with Moise, together with Alessandro Ferrari and Daniele Pradè, in Cagliari on April 21, we made it clear how pleased we were with his performances,” said President Rocco Commisso. “At the same time, I saw in Moise the affection and gratitude he feels for Fiorentina and for all of Florence. Since then, we’ve worked hard, making significant financial efforts to keep him in the Viola shirt by extending his contract. I’m very happy with this decision, which is in the best interest of Fiorentina, our fans, and the player himself.”

Moise Kean also expressed his satisfaction with the renewal: “I want to thank President Commisso and the entire management team for the affection and support they’ve always shown me since my arrival in Florence. Everyone believed in me, and I couldn’t let down that trust. I gave my all, and I also want to thank our fans for their support and love. They all helped me achieve the results from last season, and their passion for these colors will be a strong motivation for me to do even better this new season, together with the coach and my teammates.”
