Rome, 18 September (LaPresse) – Manchester City beat Napoli 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester in the match valid for the first day of the Champions League group stage. Haaland scored in the 56th minute with a header from Foden’s assist, and Doku doubled the lead in the 65th minute. In the 21st minute, Napoli were reduced to 10 men after Di Lorenzo was sent off for a last-man foul. Conte, in order to give the team more balance, took off De Bruyne, the former City player and the most anticipated man of the evening, in the 26th minute, bringing on Olivera.
