(LaPresse) – Lorenzo Sonego, ranked 44th in the ATP rankings, exits in the second round (round of 16) of the Chengdu Open (ATP 250 – hard court – prize money $1,190,210), held in the capital of Sichuan province, China. The 30-year-old from Turin, after his comeback victory in the first round over Argentina’s Juan Manuel Cerundolo, ranked 72nd, was defeated in the quarter-finals by the United States’ Marcos Giron, ranked 50th in the ATP rankings, with a score of 6-4, 6-4.
