Naples, Sept. 23 (LaPresse) – Napoli has announced that it has extended Matteo Politano’s contract until June 30, 2028. On February 3, 2020, the 32-year-old Roman forward made his debut in the Azzurri shirt, during a 4-2 away victory at the Ferraris against Sampdoria. On July 19, he scored his first goal, against Udinese, netting the decisive 2-1 for Napoli. On September 14, 2022, he scored his first Champions League goal, giving Napoli the lead in a 3-0 victory at Ibrox against Rangers. Politano has made 238 appearances for Napoli, scoring 34 goals and providing 35 assists. With Napoli, he has won 2 Serie A titles and 1 Coppa Italia.
