Milan, 23 September (LaPresse) – Former tennis champion Rafael Nadal warns his fans about a series of fake online videos in which he allegedly offers financial advice. The Spaniard also warns about the risks of artificial intelligence. ‘I want to share this message of caution, something unusual for my social media, but necessary,’ Nadal wrote on LinkedIn. “In recent days, together with my team, we have detected fake videos circulating on some platforms. These have been generated with artificial intelligence and show a figure that imitates my image and voice. In these videos, I am falsely attributed with investment advice or proposals that in no way come from me,‘ Nadal added. The multiple Grand Slam champion calls them ’misleading advertising, completely unrelated” to him. He stresses the need for society to distinguish between real and manipulated content. He also urges ethical and responsible use of technology.
