Turin, 25 September (LaPresse) – “I tried to focus especially on the first round matches, where many things can go wrong. You have to find your rhythm and assess the tempo and speed of the court. Today was a great performance. I tried to prepare as best I could and arrived very early to get used to the conditions. I’m very happy to have delivered this kind of performance. He’s a top-level player, but I managed to break him fairly early in both sets, and that gave me confidence.” Jannik Sinner spoke after his successful debut in the ATP 500 in Beijing against Marin Cilic. ‘I’m thinking a lot about my serve at the moment, sometimes I’m a bit slow,’ he added. ‘I hope it becomes more and more automatic. I’m happy to be able to work on things and to have a great team behind me, we’re continuing to push forward.’
