Football: Leroy Sane involved in a brawl at Oktoberfest

Frankfurt (Germany), 7 October (LaPresse) – Galatasaray footballer Leroy Sane, recently excluded from the German national team, was involved in a “brief scuffle” with an intrusive guest during a visit to Oktoberfest in Munich. ‘I was provoked and insulted personally in the festival tent for a prolonged period – my team was also insulted,’ Sane told Bild about the incident on Sunday evening. In the ‘heated atmosphere’, he was also pushed, and ‘a brief scuffle ensued’. Sane then admitted that he had not acted correctly and was self-critical: ‘Of course, I should have reacted more calmly at that moment and taken a different stance.’
